Q: What is IBC 2009?
A: International Business Conference (IBC) is a one-day business conference that will be at Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Vancouver on Nov 12, 2009. IBC is the longest running business conference at the Sauder School of Business. For 17 years, IBC has been equipping business students and delegates with the knowledge and inspiration needed to be future global leaders. Our theme this year is Leading a Global Brand.

A: Yes! Between the speakers, they have marketed for companies such as Coca-Cola, HSBC, tourism in Canada, UNICEF, etc and have gone to work in some of the biggest business conglomerates in the world! IBC allows students to interact with industry professionals and hear about their experiences in the global market that will impart knowledge in creating global business students.
Q: Whats the Top Forty Under 40?
A: The Top Forty Under 40 is a networking session for 3rd and 4th year students where they can connect and network with recognized executives of companies such as Vancouver Whitecaps FC, Aritzia, Westmana Development, WA-2, Virtus, Next Level Games, Mac Marketing Solutions, WA-2, and a lot more. It is a great opportunity for students to personally connect and learn from these business leaders and gain real advice and knowledge.

Q:When and how can I register for IBC 2009?
A: You can register for the IBC Conference at our IBC booth located in DLam Foyer from 9 AM to 3PM weekdays. You can also register online by clicking here (IBC registration link)
Q: What is included in the registration fee?
A: Our Regular Conference includes continental breakfast, delegate bag, lunch, keynotes, networking, and breakout sessions. Our full conference includes the Top Forty Under 40 networking session and buffet breakfast.
Q: What is the dress code?
A: The dress code is business formal.
For Men
* Dark colour full suit with dress shirt and tie
* Avoid extremely bright colours
* Avoid strong cologne and excessive jewellery
For Women
* Formal top or a dark colour suit blazer with dress shirt
* Dark colour knee length skirt or dress pants
* Avoid extremely bright colours

Q: I just bought my tickets! Aside from looking awesome in my business attire, what else should I bring?
A: Bring business cards because you will be networking with a lot of professionals, a pen and notebook to take down notes from the speakers, and a positive attitude!
